Our Story: Art, Aquariums, and a Dream
Hi there! I’m a 14-year-old artist and aquarium enthusiast born and raised right here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ever since I set up my first fish tank, I’ve been absolutely mesmerized by the underwater world. But as I searched for ways to decorate my aquariums, I noticed a frustrating problem: almost everything on the market was made of mass-produced plastic that looked unnatural and, worse, could potentially leach harmful chemicals into the water over time. I knew our aquatic pets deserved better.
That’s when I decided to combine my love for sculpting with my passion for fish-keeping. I began designing and hand-crafting eco-friendly, architecturally inspired aquarium decorations—like miniature Aztec pyramids, Japanese Torii gates, and our iconic local Palace of Fine Arts. My mission became clear: to replace toxic, plastic decor with beautiful, sustainable art that creates a natural, enriching environment for your tank.
As an aquarist myself, safety is my absolute top priority. Every single piece I create is meticulously hand-sculpted using 100% fish-safe Portland cement and aragonite sand, painted with non-toxic acrylics, and carefully double-sealed with food-grade, aquarium-safe epoxy. It’s a slow, deliberate process, but it guarantees that the water chemistry remains perfectly balanced and your fish, shrimp, and snails are completely safe.
But this business is more than just a creative outlet for me—it is the stepping stone to my future. I am hand-making every single order to save money for my college fund.
